Raising Vibration and Connecting to Intuition

I have to be solid in my ‘inner’ world to be solid in my ‘outer’ world. What starts inside shows up on the outside.

Each morning when I wake, I know I have several hours before I need to start my ‘outer’ day. I set it up that way. My alarm goes off at 5:15 am, and I am up by 5:30. My work day doesn’t begin until 8:30a.

Why in the world do I do this?

That early morning time is my ‘Me’ time.  It is the time of day that I set aside for connection to myself and connection to Spirit so I can start my ‘inner’ day from a solid foundation.

But, before I even rise from bed….

Before I even step out of bed, it is essential to connect to my own energy.  I like to notice all of my body and the state it’s in.  I may spend some 15-30 minutes having this ‘check-in.’

If the vibration of my body is tense, worrisome, or slow, I check in with my thoughts to see what is causing it.  It’s crazy, but the mind and its antics can begin taking over the moment we begin thinking, and it really does happen before you even step one foot out of bed.

I am amazed to take notice of how easily the mind can jump right into unhelpful crap thinking.  So, if that’s the case, I am sure to align it right away to the kinds of thoughts I want to have.

Change your thoughts, change your vibration

I check-in and notice the quality of thoughts I have and determine at what level my body is vibrating.  Let’s say I am vibrating in fear and my thoughts are of course, crappy fear thoughts.

What would be a step up in vibration that I could take to raise that fear to something more supportive?  Perhaps curiosity is a step up that I believe I could reasonably make.

What thoughts do I need to think to make that shift?  Am I willing to make that shift?

Then I choose the new thoughts and consciously breathe in the step-up in vibration that I want to experience.  I can literally raise the vibration within minutes by doing this simple flow.

Easy enough?

It’s not that easy to just change my thoughts though…

Changing thoughts is hard, for sure, and it takes repetitive practice.  Here is something to consider.  You are not your thoughts, you are not your feelings.  Your thoughts create your feelings, and your thoughts are not truth.  They are made up signals in your brain.

So if this is the case – that my thoughts create my feelings and my thoughts aren’t true – why not choose more supportive thoughts?  If they are not true, that means we can choose whatever we like.  Why choose crap thoughts?  Choose supportive thoughts.

Doing this before my feet hit the floor starts me off with the right pep in my step.

Establishing a connection to Spirit for the day

I begin in my daily meditation spot to connect with Spirit through various practices.  One of which is drawing cards for the day.  Yes, I am talking about the Tarot.  And sometimes I like oracle cards too.

Drawing and reading cards is a great intuitive primer.  The cards help me get out of my head and into my intuition for the day.  Since this is really the space that I want to operate from throughout my day, it is best to establish this connection early on, before I begin doing anything.

Why do I want to operate from intuition?

I have enough life experience now to know that when I run my life from an intuitive sense, my life runs better.  My brain manages to gunk things up when I give it too much control.

By establishing intuition as the boss for the day, my brain is more likely to remain obedient and do what it is best designed for, which is problem-solving, not decision making.

A man I once worked with said: My brain needs to follow my gut.  I’ve tried to make my gut follow my brain and it never really works.  The way he described that really resonated with me, and check-in with that thought many times throughout the day.  Who is following whom?

Back to the cards….

When I connect in with my cards to start the day, I usually do a 3-card spread.  I either choose body-mind-Spirit  OR  past-present-opportunity.  This offers me an awareness of the energies that are present and that helps me begin to connect how I can best use those energies.

Ace of Swords, Ten of Cups, Four of Wands

I’ll give you an example.   This morning I had an awesome draw for body-mind-Spirit.  I drew the Ace of Swords, the Ten of Cups, and the Four of Wands.

This first card in ‘body’ position, Ace of Swords, helped me understand that the energy of swift action in my physical world is available to me today.  I got the sense that action was not only available but that it was in my highest good to take full advantage of it!

The Ten of Cups in the ‘mind’ position clued me into the energy of positive thinking about the future I want to create.  It’s okay to daydream today!  In fact, it would be most beneficial because that card was reinforced by the Four of Wands in ‘Spirit’ position.

The Four of Wands is also known as the 11:11 card.  The numbers 11:11 reminds us of the importance of keeping our thoughts and vibes where we want them,  as we are constantly creating our future through them.

Both cards together doubled the emphasis on minding my thoughts and feelings today to create the future I want to have.  And Oh, the future I can create!  Just look at those happy endings…

This spread was very helpful.  I kept the energies that were available in the back of my mind, continually redirecting my thoughts and behaviors to align with those energies when needed.

Bah humbug.  Cards are hooey-dooey…

When understood and taken in the right context, cards are super helpful!  The messages in the cards about the energy that is present reveals how we can choose to co-create our day with Spirit.

Card reading is mostly misunderstood.  People think it is fortune-telling, but it’s not.  Cards are a tool of personal intuition.  The cards speak to you through language and ideas you understand.

The cards simply bring our attention to what energies are present for us to work with or to dispell – whichever would be in our best interest.  There is always and forever will be, free will.

You can ride the wave or you can pass on it.  It’s really a way of informing you so that you can make the best and most conscious choice given the expanded view of what is available to you.

Who wouldn’t want some of that?
